lKyoko Nguyen is an artist and instructor based in the California Bay Area. Born and raised in Japan, she moved to the United States where she discovered and perfected the art of shadow box. She has established her own shadow box class, sharing her knowledge with other craft-lovers for the past 16 years.
Kyoko performs annual demonstrations at the Alameda County Fair. Her students have won several awards every year in both the U.S. and Japan. She stands out from other shadow box creators with her experimental techniques using a variety of materials to depict a highly realistic and three dimensional look.
Everyday, Kyoko strives to improve as both an artist and teacher. Her weekly classes are packed with creativity, and she is always more than happy to help others unleash their creative side.
